  • After switching jobs, it became clear that having an internal wiki like one used during previous jobs would add value. That wiki originated as a PmWiki instance, though the content was later migrated to a MediaWiki instance. The company where I now work had a PmWiki, but the individual that deployed it and maintained it had left the company some time before. This triggered a re-evaluation of PmWiki vs MediaWiki and resulted in a realization that the MediaWiki engine would better serve the organization. This in turn triggered a re-evaluation of the KRayWiki site. I felt that it gave the impression of been very old and even a bit "cheesy". It felt as if a facelift was in order, so on this date, since I have many years of experience maintaining a MediaWiki site, and as it seemed better to modify the KRayWiki site so both work and personal sites could benefit, an alternate MediaWiki site was set up. Content was imported to the new wiki over an undocumented period (likely a few weeks), but KRayWiki links continued to point to the PmWiki site long after the MediaWiki site became a super-set of the PmWiki content.

  • Converted all page headers to use <div> tags and CSS instead of <table> tags.
  • While updating page headers, a coding error that probably impacted the page counter was found and fixed on a number of pages.

  • The VW Golf picture had incorrect graphic sizes in the <img> tag. This caused rendering issues in at least one browser, so the sizes were changed to match the actual size.
• What's New & Site History Page
  • Moved all old 2010 and 2011 entries to the Site History page.
